August 19 "LEAD US"“O send out your light and your truth! Let them lead me . . . “ (Ps.43:3) “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. HE MAKES ME to lie down in green pastures: HE LEADS ME BESIDE STILL WATERS. HE RESTORES MY SOUL: HE LEADS ME in the paths of righteousness for His name sake. YEA THOUGH I WALK through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for YOU ARE WITH ME; your rod and staff they comfort me. YOU PREPARE A TABLE FOR ME in the presence of my enemies: YOU ANOINT MY HEAD WITH OIL; my cup runs over. SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW ME all the days of my life: and I WILL DWELL in the house of the Lord forever.” (23 Psalm) “But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall TEACH YOU all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (Jn.16:26) “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will GUIDE YOU into all truth: for He shall no speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and will SHOW YOU things to come.” (Jn.16:13) “For the Holy Ghost shall TEACH YOU in the same hour what you ought to say.” (Lk.12:12) “If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from every sin.” (I Jn.1:7) “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9) “I will never (ever) leave you or forsake you.” “I AM with you always.” “Where two or more are gathered in My name, I AM their midst.” (counsel – We know you will, Our Father, . . . Be done in us today!) “But the anointing which you have received of Him abides IN you, and you need not that any man TEACH YOU: but the same anointing TEACHES YOU of all things, and is truth, and in Him is no lie, and even as it has been taught to you, you shall abide IN HIM.” (I Jn.2:27) “If I take the wings of the morning; If I go down to the farthest sea; Even there your hand will LEAD ME, And in your right hand SECURELY I”LL BE.” (Ps.139:9,10) I know you were with me way up on that ladder. You gave me confidence from my fear of falling or, at my age, wondering if I was going to have a heart attack. You were with me down under the house in the crawl space. What a comfort to know you are WITH ME, LEADING ME, AND IN YOUR RIGHT HAND SECURELY I’LL BE! August 18 FORGIVEN "LEAD US" Principles of His Leading. . . 1. “Let the PEACE of God RULE in your heart, to which also you are called in one body; and be thankful.” (Col.3:15) 2. “Let the WORD of God DWELL in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual Songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Col3:16) 3. “Wherefore don’t be unwise but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be “BE”ing filled with the Spirit; if we LIVE in the Spirit, let us WALK (conversation, lifestyle) in the Spirit:” (Context: Eph.5:17,18,25) Be “BE”ing filled with the Spirit. (Being constantly controlled, consciously possessed) His possession. . . not legal controls His Spirit. . . Not human spirit. Enthusiasm. . . not ecstatic excitement. God breathed. . . not man breathed. His Direction. . . not under the circumstances. His Place. . . not situations. Experience Him. . . not happenings. Right or wrong. . . Spiritual or carnal (soulish, fleshy, naturally) Folks are dumb where I come from, They had no book nor lernin. They’re doin what comes naturally. Pay attention to His leading. . . Listen to what He is saying. . . A still small voice. . . An inner voice. . . (John Wesley) Doing what He says. . . obedience. (It’s in the Book) Practice His presence. . . 4. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby YOU KNOW the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come IN THE FLESH is of God: And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God; and this is the spirit of the anti-Christ, whereof you heard that it should come; and even now already in the world. We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God doesn’t hear us. Hereby KNOW WE that we DWELL IN HIM, and HE IN US, because He has given to us His Spirit.” (Context: I Jn.4:1-3,6,13) I AM IN CHRIST AND CHRSIT IS IN ME. HIS LEAD! |
